USING THE HOB

GAS BURNERS

The flow of gas to the burners is controlled by the knobs (fig. 11), which operate the valves.
Depending on the version you have chosen, the symbols may be screen-printed on the knobs or on
the control panel. Lining the pointer up with the screen-printed symbols provides the following
settings:
Valve closed, no gas delivered
Highest setting, maximum gas flow
Lowest setting, minimum gas flow

Lighting the burners

To light one of the burners without electric ignition, or in case of a power failure in models with
ignition, place a naked light close to the top of the burner and press the relative knob and turn it anti-
clockwise until the
To obtain the minimum setting, turn the knob further until the pointer is in line with the small flame.
All operating settings must always be between the maximum and minimum settings, and
never between the maximum setting and the "off" position.
To turn off the burner, turn the knob clockwise to the "valve closed" position.

To ignite one of the burners, press the knob and turn it to the maximum setting, then keep it pressed
until the burner lights; after this, adjust the flame by turning the knob to the required setting.
Note:
If specific local gas supply conditions make it difficult to ignite the burner with the knob at the
maximum setting, repeat the operation before placing a pan on the pan-stand, with the knob at the
minimum setting.
