Installation Remove all packing materials from the DSP-2448 MKII. Check that all foam and plastic padding is removed. Screw the equipment into a 19" rack. Connect all cables. Always disconnect from electric mains power supply before cleaning or servicing. Damages caused by non-observance are not subject to warranty.
Lock First hold the LOCK-button (4) for a few seconds, the display will show “ö”. The device is now in Lock-mode and you cannot alter any values. Press and hold the LOCK-button (4) again to disable the Lock function. The device returns to its original function.
OUT have to be connected. Turn the jog-wheel of the first DSP (connected from the MIDI OUT to the MIDI IN of the second device) to control the programs from P1-P48 or U1-U48 of the other DSP-2448 MKII connecting to MIDI IN.

Using the DSP 2448 MKII in a MIDI system With its built-in MIDI interface the DSP can be integrated into any MIDI system. It transmits and receives both program changes via MIDI from a sequencer or any other MIDI device. Fig.

Connection Cables Take care of the connector cables, always holding them by the connectors and avoiding knots and twists when coiling them: This gives the advantage of increasing their life and reliability, which is always to your advantage. Periodically check that your cables are in good condition, that they are correctly wired and that all their contacts are perfectly efficient: a great number of problems (faulty contacts, ground hum, discharges, etc.) are caused entirely by using unsuitable or faulty cables.
Maintenance The DSP-2448 MKII equalizer requires almost no maintenance. However, you should keep the unit clean. Disconnect the mains power supply, and then wipe the cover with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in liquid. Keep connections clean. Disconnect electric power, and then wipe the audio connections with a damp cloth.
