Accessing the Inside of the Machine

The majority of service work done to a JDF-S will require the service technician to access the inside of the unit. The
unit has four removable panels to facilitate access- the top panel, the two side panels, and front splash panel. De-
pending on the repair the technician may have to remove one or all of these panels.
In order to work safely the power should be disconnect-
ed prior to removal of any body panel. Once the panels
are removed the power can be reconnected in order to
troubleshoot the machine.
Top Panel
The top panel is secured with 4 small flat head screws.
To the remove the panel, remove the four screws, lift
the panel up and away from the dispenser's body.
Side Panels
Each side panel is secured with 4 small flat head
screws. Once the screws have been removed pull the
side panel away from the dispenser.
Front Splash Panel
This panel can be removed by first removing the drip
tray to gain access to the two screws securing the
splash panel in place. Remove the 2 flat head screws
then slide the splash panel down the pull away from the
dispenser.

Removing the Door Cover

The door cover may be removed if you need to gain access to the lighting
circuit, switches, switch board or membrane switches.
Step 1: Disconnect unit from power source.
Step 2: Remove the 5 screws securing the door cover to the door assembly.
Step 3: If unit uses a membrane switch disconnect the 6 pin connectors from
auxiliary switch board. If the unit uses mechanical switches disconnect at the
harness molex pin connector.
Step 4: Set door cover aside.
