Unable to print
Is the Ink Ribbon Ass'y
set properly ?
Yes
Turn the power off and detach
the outer jacket.
Is connector CN4
connected?
Yes
Measure the Print Head resistance.
(See "Print Head Resistance Measurement.")
Normal?
Yes
• Print Head driver Q2 - 10 failure
• Inadequate soldering on the CPU
Note: If the Print Head resistance is less than the prescribed value, the Print Head driver is probably defective.
You will also need to change the corresponding drivers (
• Motor runs.
If the motor does not run, see "4 Motor Operation Failure."
• Card does not print.
• Abnormal printout (chipped dots, etc.)
Set the Ink Ribbon Ass'y properly.
