Inspecting the Rim

 You should search for any signs of compromise in the rims structural
integrity.
 Things to look for:
 Large indents where the rim and tire make
contact
 Deep scratches or server scuffing of rim
 Rim that is warped, cracked, or missing
spokes (such as in the picture to the right)
