The 328’s aft cockpit stern seat cushion folds up against
the transom to allow for more floor space and access to
the engine lids. The forward cockpit cushion can be
locked in a raised position with a block attached to the
bottom of the cushion. This too, provides easier access
to the forward engine lid. Some cushions can be re-
moved. Refer to Figure N7.
Make sure legs are vertical and locked before
using the aft stern seat.
When storing the aft stern seat up against the
transom, be sure the legs are folded and secured
to prevent damage to the seat or injury to people.
Nylon straps are provided to secure the seat in the stored
position against the transom. The straps snap to the
underside of the aft stern seat and are designed to wrap
around the stern rail.

The 298’s aft cockpit stern seat cushion can be removed
by lifting up and out. This allows for easier access to
the engine compartment. Refer to Figure N8.

C. Port Chaise Lounger Seat
The port “wrap around” chaise lounge provides seating
capacity for two people. It is conveniently built into the
fiberglass base which also contains the icemaker/refrig-
erator and cockpit sink. Storage is provided underneath
the hinging seat cushion. See Figure N9.

D. Cockpit Table
Cushion
The cockpit table is standard on the 298/328. Table bases
are “flush” mounted for convenience. The 328’s cockpit
table is stored underneath the aft stern seat and the
legs are stored behind the aft stern seat. The 298’s
cockpit table may be stored in the mid cabin. To set up
the 328’s cockpit table see the steps below. Omit steps

1. Slide the aft stern seat forward to gain access to
2. Lift up the aft stern seat and pull the table top out.
3. Screw the table leg(s) into the floor mount(s).

4. Mount the cockpit table onto the table leg(s).
To remove the cockpit table simply reverse the proce-
dure above.
Make sure legs are vertical and locked before
using the aft stern seat. Also, ensure the seat
brackets are locked in their proper position be-
fore use.
