curacy can be affected by many factors includ-
ing equipment failure or defects, environmental
conditions, and improper handling or use. It is
the user’s responsibility to exercise common
prudence and navigational judgement, and this

E. Radar Arch
The radar arch is a standard feature and is swept forward
in design. This presents a sleek, new look while provid-
ing an adequate platform necessary for installation of ra-
dar equipment. See Figure M12. Four Winns does not
offer radar equipment, however, excellent “aftermarket”
equipment is available. The 298 and 328 helms provide
plenty of space for such instrumentation i.e.. GPS, auto
pilot, radar, fish finder, tridata, etc.

M - 14 SPOTLIGHT
A properly operating spotlight is essential for safe cruising
at night. Four Winns offers electrically controlled spot-
lights as standard equipment on the 328 and optional on
the 298. The spotlights use electric motors and helm
switch controls to direct the spotlight beam. See Figure
M 13. Refer to the spotlight manufacturer’s literature in-
cluded in the owner’s packet.
