ENGINE MODEL AND SERIAL NUMBER DESIGNATION
The engine serial number and model See Figure 1
number are laser etched on the
cylinder block in the left side just
below the intake manifold and above
the cast-in Detroit Diesel logo (as
viewed from the flywheel end).
