The operational check tests the communication link between the remote control and the
DCT2000. The procedures verify the DCT2000 response to remote control commands.
Table 3-2 lists the operational check procedures:

Testing Procedure
Press
to turn on the DCT2000.
POWER
Turn on the TV and tune it to the output channel of the DCT2000 (channel 3 or
4).
Scan through the channels using the

+ - keys on the remote control.
CHANNEL
Tune to several channels by entering the channel number with the numeric keys
on the remote control.
Use the TV volume control to adjust the sound volume to a moderate level.
Press
+ - on the remote control to increase the volume to its upper limit,
VOLUME
lowest level, and to a comfortable level.
Press
to turn the sound completely off. Press
MUTE
sound.
