I n t r o d u c t i o n

The Motorola DCT2000 is an analog/digital terminal designed to support 64 and 256 QAM
digital signal formats, and it can be configured to support analog descrambling.
The DCT2000 is compatible with existing Motorola analog and digital set-top terminal products.
Existing set-top terminals are not affected by the new data flowing from the system to the
DCT2000s.
This manual provides instructions to install the DCT2000.

The Motorola DCT2000 offers the following standard features:
54 through 860 MHz integrated tuner
Integrated RF return (using built-in STARVUE II module)
RF and baseband audio/ video ports
Single IR Blaster port (replaces two connectors on DCT 1000/1200 series)
Auxiliary audio input
Switched accessory outlet
RS 232 serial data port (provides a high speed serial data interface)
Optional features include:
STARFONE II (14.4 kbps) Telco return
A/B In switch
RF Bypass switch
Dual A/B-RF Bypass switch
IR Blaster cable
S-Video output
Dolby
AC-3
