E1 CHECK CIRCUIT 31 (WH/RD) FOR AN OPEN
Engine Oil Pressure Switch C101
E2 CHECK THE ENGINE OIL PRESSURE
E3 CHECK CIRCUIT 31 (WH/RD)

Instrument Cluster. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.

Connect a fused jumper wire between engine oil pressure switch C101, circuit 31 (WH/RD), harness side and
ground.
Does the instrument cluster indicate normal oil pressure with the jumper wire connected and no engine
oil pressure with the jumper wire disconnected?
Yes
GO to E2.
No
GO to E3.
Carry out the engine oil pressure test. Refer to
Is the engine oil pressure within specification?
Yes
INSTALL a new engine oil pressure switch. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
REFER to Section 303-00.
Measure the resistances between instrument cluster C236 pin 20, circuit 31 (WH/RD), harness side and engine
oil pressure switch C101, circuit 31 (WH/RD), harness side; and between instrument cluster C236 pin 20, circuit
31 (WH/RD), harness side and ground.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms between the instrument cluster and the engine oil pressure switch,
and greater than 10,000 ohms between the instrument cluster and ground?
