1.0 Relationship with the
authorities
Installation of a fireplace must be according to local codes and
regulations in each country.
All local regulations, including those that refer to national and
European standards, shall be complied with when installing the
product.
It is always advisable to obtain information from your local
building permits office and professional help prior to commencing
installation.
Installation instructions for the surround are included.
Installation and user instructions for the insert are enclosed with
the product. For safety precautions, day-to-day use, maintenance,
servicing, etc., please see this document.
The installation may only be used once it has been inspected and
a certificate of completion has been issued.
The classification label for the free-standing products is enclosed
with the surround's installation instructions and is to be placed
in an appropriate place. This contains information about
identification and documentation for the product.
2.0 Technical data
Jøtul FS 11 - I 150 low and high modell are free-standing products
and can be placed against a wall made of combustible material
with clearances as described in fig. 1A-D.
These complete installations have been tested and approved as
free-standing stoves in accordance with EN 13240.
There are two types of surround:
Jøtul FS 11 without a front vent and the Jøtul FS 11 with a front
vent and side vents.

Floor plates and shelves are extra equipment.
When using a steel chimney ( Jøtul FS 11 with a front vent and
side vents) an offset pipe of 80 mm must be installed.
