the oven door just up to the lock or leave it open entirely during grilling. Make sure grill foods do not come
into contact with the heating elements, fi re hazard!
The BG 1600 comes equipped as standard with a roasting tray and a grill grid. As a special accessory,
however, you can purchase our "Pizza-/Bread Baking Stone Set PS 16", consisting of a superior natural
fi reclay stone and a wooden tray shovel. This will enable you to prepare perfect stone-oven bakeries by your
own!

Cleaning and Care

Always unplug the appliance and let it cool before cleaning!
The accessories can be cleaned in warm water with a little dishwashing detergent. Wipe casing, oven interior
and door with a damp cloth and dry. Never immerse the appliance in water and make sure no steam or water
can get into the appliance from below!
Please do not use scouring powders, solvents or oven sprays!!

3. Switching on the appliance:
To start, turn the upper rotary knob to the
right up to the stop, and then back to the
period of time you request = set the timer,
or choose "M" = continuous operation.
The clock switches off the appliance auto-
matically after the selected period of time
has elapsed, and you will hear a short ring.
The period of time you selected can always
be adjusted during operation by turning
the knob to the left or to the right. If you
selected continuous operation "M", the
appliance will not switch off automatically.
In this case the rotary knob has to be re-
set to "0" in order to switch it off.
The pilot lamp will go out when the selec-
ted temperature has been reached.
The thermostat adjusts itself to maintain
the temperature which you can see by
the pilot lamp going on and off during
operation.
The interior illumination of the oven is
connected with the upper rotary knob and
therefore serves as an operation pilot lamp
at the same time.
When grilling, fi ll approx. half of the roas-
ting tray with water and slide it into the
lower tracking as a collecting tray. In this
way, any grease dripping down will be
