confi dence. With its easy operation and wide range of application, we are sure this product will fi ll you with
enthusiasm too. To make sure you can enjoy using this appliance for a long time, please read the following
notes carefully and observe them.

For Your Safety

• Prior to fi rst use please read these instructions carefully, and keep them for future reference. Use the
appliance only for the purpose specifi ed in this instruction, improper application leads to loss
of guarantee.
• Make sure the mains voltage is identical with the details on the rating plate. Only connect to an
AC outlet.
• Put the appliance on a solid, heat-resistant and even surface. Do not operate the unit in the proximity
of other heat sources (stove, open gas fl ame etc.). In order to avoid a possible risk of fi re, keep the space
above the appliance free, and make sure the distance between the appliance and any wall is at least
10 cm. Ensure free air circulation. Operate the appliance under supervision only.

Attention: Glass door and casing become hot during usage. Danger of getting burned!
Do not splash cold water on to the hot oven door!
• Children and persons with handicaps of physical, sensorial or mental nature must not operate this
appliance without an adequate supervision and/or corresponding expert advice and safety instructions.
• Children should be supervised in order to ensure that they do not play with this appliance.
• Do not at all operate this unit with an external timer or a separate telecontrol system.
• The power cord - like those of other neighbouring electrical appliances - must not touch any hot parts of
the appliance.
• During operation, the spacers on the backside of the appliance must not be used for rolling up the power
cord.
• Do not use the unit as a space heater. The safest way to switch off the appliance is to unplug it.
• The appliance complies with the relevant safety regulations. Should the appliance or the power cord be
damaged, immediately unplug the unit. Also pull the mains plug before replacing the interior oven lamp.
• This appliance may only be repaired at authorised specialist shops. Improper repairs may result in
considerable danger for the user!

Initial Use

• For a start, please clean the roasting tray and the grill grid in lukewarm water with a little dishwashing
detergent. Prior to fi rst usage the protective coating of the heating elements has to be burnt in.
In order to do so, please heat up the appliance for approx. 20 minutes at maximum power by choosing
"upper/lower heat" fi rst and then the "grill" function. Please do not be bothered by the slight, harmless
smokes and smells that will be generated for a short while.
• After the appliance has cooled, please clean the interior with a damp cloth. Prior to each usage, make
sure the oven is dry.
And this is how to operate the appliance
1. Selecting the type of function:
Use the lower knob to set the function, you can choose between "upper/lower heat", "only lower heat",
"only upper heat" and "grill".
2. Setting the temperature:
The rotary knob in the middle is used for setting the requested baking or grilling temperature.
