• Classical3: This uses a bit more processing than the Classical 1 preset. Users will find that Classical3 is louder
on the air than Classical 1 or 2. Medium and short-term program dynamics remain essentially untouched, while
long-term dynamics are modified to substantially increase overall on-air loudness. The overall on-air sound is
extremely close to the original source material in spectral balance, with only the long-term dynamic range being
reduced to increase on-air loudness.
• ClassNoMBAGC: The ultimate Classical purist preset. The Wideband AGC is activated to gently control
long-term program levels but the Multi-Band AGC section is defeated, with only the Limiters to protect against
overmodulation.
• CleanNSmooth: This preset uses the multiband AGCs and limiters to build up competitive on-air loudness
with less reliance on the clipper sections. This results in an on-air sound that is quite competitive but lacking the
artifacts normally associated with clipping. The resulting on-air sound is warm with a good solid low-end (when
it is present in the source material), with loudness similar to the RocknRoll preset but smoother sounding and
less bright.
• Country1: Think of this has a halfway stop between RocknRoll and AdultContemp. This preset takes into
consideration that Country music usually offers an emphasis to string instruments like guitars; the processing is
set to accommodate that. The Bass Boost is set for a warmer sound by increasing the upper-bass, instead of the
Thump-Bass. Vocals stand out, along with clarity to string instruments.
• Country2: Similar in loudness to Country1 but uses a different approach to enhance the lower bass and high-
end, while keeping the vocal range clean and full.
• Hot! This preset emulates the sound of the original Omnia-FM with the Hot! Plug-In.
• Jazz: Jazz music is perceived to have a sound that desires a smooth and open presentation, along with small
amounts of dynamic equalization. This preset does not offer the heavy compression or wall of sound that a CHR
(Top-40) station may desire. Quality and musicality are foremost.
• ModernRock: In this preset, we have re-tuned the Multi-Band AGC sections for more natural dynamics when
playing primarily newer music that has already been heavily pre-processed in the recording and / or mastering
stages. This also works well as a less bright alternative to the CHR preset.
• Nuclear: This is the preset that goes to eleven! We designed this as sort of an over the top, you gotta be
kidding preset. When loudness is the only word, this is your hot tamale!! Beware: you will be making
compromises.
• PhatOne: This preset has all the loudness of the CHR preset along with extra "phatness" and "girth" added for
good measure. Also works well on Urban formats.
• SolarPlexus: Tuned similarly to PhatOne but with additional emphasis on very low bass.
• SolidGold: Where were you in the 1970's when that Boss Jock sound was king!! This preset offers more
compression and density which yields good spectral balance. Most OLDIES formats play music that needs help
in the warmth and clarity. The processing is set to enhance those areas.
• Talk1: This preset will utilize more of the AGC GATING functions so that there are not needless amounts of
gain being added during pauses in speech. The EQ settings are set to enhance intelligibility, and reduce the false
bass boost that can occur when multiband processing is used for this type of programming. This can also be
used for sports programming.
