ST EREO INPUTS (Channel 9-12)
ST EREO INPUTS: Connec t any line-level signal (suc h as
an effect return, or electronic instrument) here. They
c an operate in three different w ays.
Four Sourc es: By using a special 3-c onduc t or Tip-
Ring-Sleeve (T RS) cable, eac h jack c an ac c ept two
signals at onc e (Tip to the left. Ring to the right on
Channel 9/10, vice versa on Channel 11/12).
• Tw o Sourc es: If TRS "stereo splitter" c ables are not
available, standard mono 1/4" cables can be
connected to these jacks. In this c ase, the left (9/10)
jack c an be assigned only to the "left" groups (1 &
3), and the right (11/12) jack can only reac h the
right groups (2 & 4).
One source: Plug a mono cable into the left (9/10)
jack and leave the right (11/12) jack empty. The
signal automatically connects to both channels,
making assignm ent to all four groups possible.
ASSIGN sw itches: Press to send the output of the St ereo
channel to any (or all) of the four output groups for
recording onto the multitrack.
-LEVEL: Controls the volume of the stereo channels
feeding the GROU P MASTERS.
Master Section
-EFFECT SEND MASTERS: These are the master controls
for the two effec t send outputs.
-CUE MASTER: This controls the overall level of the T A PE
CUE mix. (CU E must be pressed in the MONITOR
section for this to have any effec t on your headphone
mix.)
-MONITOR sw itches: These select w hat signals you will
hear in the PHONES, and see displayed on the
MONITOR L /R meter. You c an hear any or all of the
four output groups of the mixer, plus the tape cue
mix, depending on w hat is pressed dow n.
•PHONES: This is the volume control for the built-in
headphone amp.
