Chapter 7 VPN Configuration

The VPN (Virtual Private Network) technology utilizes security schemes such as data
capsulation and encoding to allow its user to use the Internet as if it is a WAN directly
connected via a leased line. Protocols including PPTP (Point to Point Tunneling Protocol)
and IPSec (IP Security) are used to construct a VPN. This chapter describes how to
establish a VPN connection using PPTP and IPSec.
Since the product is equipped with PPTP server, PPTP Client as well as IPSec function,
you can establish a highly secure VPN without installing any additional VPN application to
your computers.
