5.3.3 Filter Rule Example

As an example of packet filter, this section provides the procedure to block communication
between WAN and ports 137 to 139 of LAN (used in NetBIOS, etc). NetBIOS packets
used in Windows® LAN occasionally result in unexpected communication to the Internet.
Blocking ports 137-139 used by NetBIOS prevents the occurrence of such unexpected
communication.
