ENGINE OIL
Engine oil quality is the chief factor
affecting engine service life. Change the
engine oil when specified by the mainte-
nance schedule.
NOTE:
*
Change the engine oil with the engine
warm and the motorcycle on its center
stand to assure complete and rapid
draining.
I. To drain the oil, remove the oil filler
cap (I), drain plug (2), oil filter bolt
(3) and cover (4).
2. After the oil has drained, check that the
sealing washer on the drain plug is in
good condition, and install the plug.
3. Check that the oil filter bolt and cover
O-rings are in good condition, and
install the cover, aligning the recess in
the filter cover with the boss on the
water pump cover.
