15 - MAINTENANCE AND
USEFUL ADVICE
A recommendation is made to use the filter holder (D) with a
blind filter (once the machine is hot) before starting work early
in the morning and operate the unit several times to ensure
the spouts (B) remain clean and free from coffee powder
deposits which compromise the performance.
This method removes the coffee powder that has deposited
between the spout (B) has the spout holder (A).
This operation must be performed every day.
Check the filter holes (C) frequently to remove any deposits.
In addition, after hot water has remained inside the pipes
for an extended time it is important to allow some water to
flow through the pipes freely to remove any deposits.

Weekly cleaning operations
Cleaning the unit and the spouts: add a teaspoon of deter-
gent powder specific for coffee machines in the blind filter
supplied with the machine and apply this to the coffee unit
to be cleaned using the filter holder. Press the unit's coffee
distribution button just as if a normal coffee delivery is being
prepared. Interrupt the distribution after about 30 seconds
and repeat the operation for 3 / 4 times. Rinse the unit
using a normal filter and complete a number of dispensing
operations using only water. Prepare a coffee to eliminate
unpleasant tastes.
The filters (C) and filter holders (D) should be rinsed daily
in hot water or preferably allow them to soak overnight in
water that is initially hot, to dissolve the coffee fat.
Leaving the filter holder bowl with the coffee grounds in the
unit during the working day is recommended to ensure the
filter holder is always at the optimum temperature.
Avoid covering the cup warming surface with clothes, felts, etc.
Avoid using abrasive products or solvents to clean the
bodywork.
The steam nozzles must be cleaned immediately after use to
prevent the formation of any scale that may block the holes
and also to avoid the beverage heated subsequently from
absorbing any unpleasant odours.
Under-cup gasket replacement
The gasket will require replacement (E) when a coffee
leakage is noted between the unit (F) and the filter holder
(D), during delivery or when the centre position of the unit
is exceeded by a significant margin when the filter holder
(D) is tightened.
Therefore, proceed to remove the spout (B) by loosening the
central screw (G).
Remove the spout holder (A) by loosening the two Allen
screws (H).
Then remove the gasket (E) with the aid of a screwdriver or
a pointed punch.
After removing the gasket clean the housing and then refit the
new gasket taking care to position gasket with the chamfered
edge upwards facing the unit.
