7) Remove the E-ring [14] and the gear [15]
of the separation roller [9].
Caution:
The gear holds a pin. Take care not to
lose it when removing the gear.
8) Remove the E-ring at the rear of the sepa-
ration roller [9]; then, detach the separation
belt [17].

Removing the Reversing Roller

1) Remove the reversal motor unit. (Figure 3-
201)
2) Remove the two screws [1] of the pickup
front side plate side, and disconnect the
connector [2]; then, detach the pre-revers-
ing solenoid unit [3].
