Using the Main Menu
To configure eSATA hard drives:
1. Connect an eSATA external hard drive to
the eSATA port on the rear panel of the
system.
2. From live view, right-click and click Main
Menu. Log in if prompted.
3. Click Advanced>HDD Management.
NOTE: When eSATA HDD's are detected ,
they are located below the internal SATA
HDD's. If they are not detected, restart the
NVR.
4. Click eSATA.

5. Double-click on the hard drive you would
like to configure.

6. Select Storage to use the hard drive for
normal recording or mirroring or select

Backup to use the hard drive for data
backup only. Click OK.
ATTENTION:
hard drive. Formatting the HDD erases
all data
cannot be undone.
7. The NVR formats the hard drive and
restarts. If you set the external hard drive
for Storage, you may configure it for
Mirroring or Read only mode the same way
you would configure one of the internal
hard drives (see "Selecting Hard Drive
Types" on page 33).

The Warning sub-menu allows you to
configure actions taken when system errors
occur.
To configure system error actions:
1. Under Event Type, select one of the
following system errors to configure: No
Disk, Disk Error, Disk No Space, Net
Disconnection, IP Conflicted, or MAC
Conflicted.
