OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

PLEASE READ OVER THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USE.

SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS

1) Carefully unpack the scale.

2) Follow diagram on battery cover to install batteries. Use four "C" cells.

3) Place the unit on a firm, flat surface.

4) A bubble level is located at the rear of the platform. Rotate the adjustable legs under the

platform until the bubble is centered.

5) Adjust the swivel display and column to a comfortable viewing position.

Page 3 TURNING THE SCALE OFF Depress the OFF key. The display will go off. NOTE: The DP-8100 series is equipped with an AUTO-OFF feature that will shut the unit off automatically when the scale has not been used for approximately fifteen minutes.
Page 4 DP-8100 Operation Manual Place the first item in the container until the desired weight is reached. Depress the TARE key. The display will return to zero. Place the second item in the container until the desired weight is reached. Depress the TARE key again. The display will again return to zero.
Page 5 DP-8100 Operation Manual on. Repeated or severe shock loads may damage the weighing mechanism. Depress function keys with your finger only. Never use a sharp object that may puncture the key. Keep the scale in an area free from extreme temperature changes, moisture, or dust.
