Chapter 2 Preparations

DIMM

Install a DIMM (Dual Inline Memory Module) to a DIMM socket on the motherboard in the server. The
motherboard provides twenty-four sokets to install DIMMs.

1.10.1 Maximum supported memory size

The maximum available memory size on the server depends on the architecture and OS specs.

Tips
Up to 1.5 TB (64 GB x 24) can be installed in 2-CPU configuration. Up to 768 GB
(64 GB x 12) can be installed in 1-CPU configuration. No DIMM is factory installed
in standard configuration.
