Thread tension
Your sewing machine will electronically pre-set a
thread tension for the selected stitch. Depending
on the fabric, batting, thread etc, the tension may

another stitch.
In sewing mode, press the info button to
see the current selected thread tension.
Twin needle
Activate the twin needle program and use the left
and right arrow buttons on the wheel to set the
twin needle width. When a twin needle size is
selected, the width of all stitches is limited for that
needle size to prevent needle breakage.
In sewing mode, press the info button. The
twin needle recommendation icon will be
shown.
The setting is kept until you deselect the twin
needle setting.

that is too wide for the set twin needle size.
Select this function when using a straight stitch
needle plate or a straight stitch presser foot to lock
the center needle position for all stitches to prevent
damage to the needle, presser foot or needle plate.
In sewing mode, press the info button. The
stitch width safety icon will be shown.
When turning on the machine with this setting
activated and for every stitch selection that is not
a straight stitch, a pop-up informs you that it is set
to straight stitch. Deselect stitch width safety to go
back to normal sewing.
Note: Twin needle and stitch width safety cannot be
used at the same time.
The Dynamic Spring foot will raise and lower
with each stitch to hold the fabric on the needle
plate while the stitch is being formed. To adjust
for different fabric thickness use Pivot height in
Settings menu.
Note: The Dynamic spring foot 6D is recommended for
use with straight stitch. Activate Stitch width safety.
