Installation/Connection Choose the mounting location where the unit will not interfere with the normal driving function of the driver. Before finally installing the unit, connect the wiring and make sure that the unit works properly. Consult with your nearest dealer if installation requires the drilling of holes or other modifications of the vehicle.

1. Install the sleeve into the dashboard; ensure it is installed with the correct side and there are no obstacles (wires, dashboard elements, etc) for the unit installation. 2. After installing the sleeve into the dashboard, bend tabs fitting to the size of the dashboard to fix the sleeve in place.

Trim frame installation To install the trim frame, press it to the unit body and push it to fix it in place. This should be done before installing the front panel; otherwise you are not able to install the trim frame. When the trim frame being installed, the side with the groove should face down and fixed first.

Changing the battery 1. Pull out the battery tray. 2. Insert the 1 x lithium battery, type CR2025 (3V) battery with the stamped (+) mark facing upward. Disc operations Glossary PBC (PlayBack Control) PlayBack Control is a menu recorded on the disc with SVCD or VCD2.0 format. MP3 overview Notes on MP3: MP3 is short for MPEG Audio Layer 3 and refers to an audio compression technology standard. This product allows playback of MP3 files on CD-ROM, CD-R or CD-RW discs. The unit can read MP3 files written in the format compliant with ISO 9660. However it does not support the MP3 data written by the method of packet write.

Notes on creating your own CD-R or CD-RW containing MP3 files: To enjoy high quality sound, we recommend converting to MP3 files with a sampling frequency of 44.1 kHz and a fixed bit rate o f 128 kbps. DO NOT store more than 448 MP3 files per disc. For ISO 9660 - compliant format, the maximum allowable depth of nested folders is 8, including the root directory (folder).
TV tuner operations Connect TV tuner and TV antenna as it is shown on electrical connection diagram. Before connecting the TV tuner, switch off the unit. Note: There is a 2-side tape in the accessories; you can use it to fix the TV box to your car. Switch to TV tuner mode Connect the TV tuner to the unit.

AUTO/MANUAL – press for auto/manual search of channels. Auto tuning 1. Press LEFT/RIGHT cursor buttons to start auto search of available TV station in backward/forward direction. When the first available station is found searching will be stopped and the station found will be played. Press the button again to continue searching.
AV IN mode This mode is for using the unit as an AV signal amplifier or connecting the rear-view camera. Connect the peripheral device (DVD player, video-camera, rear-view camera etc) to the unit via RCA output and AV in. The unit will be switched into the AV mode and will show the picture from the device connected. You can use VOL knob or functional buttons to set the video and audio parameters from the unit.

Handling and cleaning discs Dirty, scratched or warped discs may cause skip ping or noise. Handle the disc only by the edges. To keep clean do not touch its surface. Discs should be stored in their cases after use to avoid scratches. Do not expose discs to direct sunlight, high humidity, high temperature or dust.
