Center Width
With „Center Width" you can adjust the balance between the center and front
loudspeakers.
Reverb Mode
With the „Reverb Mode" function it is possible to produce surrounding acous-
tics similar to those found in a concert hall or church.
HDCD
It is possible to play back HDCD-encoded CDs and DVDs with this device.
With the „HDCD" function you can then listen to high-quality sound with a
greater degree of detail. Generally speaking, the greater the level of HDCD
fi ltering, the better the quality of the sound.
Video Output
Select the video output option for the playback device that is connected and
which you wish to use. Choosing the right signal format depends on the type
of connection and the playback device (see also the operating manual of the
replay unit).
Off: Select this option if your playback device is connected to the DVD
player via the composite video and/or S-video connection.
YUV: Select this option if your playback device is connected to the DVD
player via the component video connection.
P-YUV: Choose this option if your playback device supports progressive
signals and is connected to the DVD-Player by means of a Component-
Video cable.
RGB: Select this option if your playback device is connected to the DVD
player via the SCART connection.
P-RGB: Select this option if your playback device supports progressive
signals and it is connected to the DVD player with a scart cable.
NOTE:
If you would like to select the „RGB" setting, please ensure that your
playback device supports this setting.
If the „P-YUV" or „P-RGB" option is activated but your playback device
does not support Progressive Scan signals, no picture is displayed.
By pressing the V-MODE button (Fig. 3/29) you can also switch between
the video output options.
