Engine Oil & Filter
5. Check that the oil level is between the
upper ( ) and lower ( ) level marks in 1
the inspection window ( ).
If the oil is at or near the upper level
mark ( ) –– you do not have to add 1
oil.
If the oil is below or near the lower
level mark ( ) –– remove the oil 2
filler cap ( ) and add the 4
recommended oil until it reaches the
upper level mark. (Do not overfill.)
6. Reinstall the oil filler cap.
7. Check for oil leaks.

Your motorcycle's oil filter has very
specific performance requirements. Use a
new genuine Honda oil filter or a filter of
equal quality specified for your model.
Using the wrong oil f ilter may result in
leaks or premature engine damage.
