Suspension
Lower spring pre-load and softer damping
provide a softer ride and are usually
preferred for light loads and smooth roads.
Higher spring pre-load and firmer
damping provide a firmer ride and are
recommended for heavy loads, rough road
conditions, and faster, more challenging
riding.

Rear Suspension Adjustment
The rear suspension can be adjusted for
rider (and passenger) weight and riding
conditions by changing the spring pre-load
and rebound damping.
The rear shock absorber includes a damper
unit that contains high pressure nitrogen
gas. Do not attempt to disassemble,
service, or dispose of the damper; see your
Honda dealer. The instructions found in
this owner's manual are limited to
adjustments of the shock assembly only.
