BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

1.
Carefully unpack the Pie Maker and accessories. Remove all packaging and materials.
2.
Wash the dough cutter and dough press using mild dishwashing soap. Rinse well and dry
before use.
3.
Before using your Pie Maker for the first time, wipe the cooking plates with a damp cloth
to remove all dust, and then dry. Wipe outer surfaces with a slightly damp, soft cloth
or sponge.
CAUTION: Take care to prevent water from running into the appliance. NEVER IMMERSE
PIE MAKER BODY IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUIDS!
4.
Set the appliance on a dry, clean and flat surface. Keep the Pie Maker locked closed until
use.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1.
Have 1 heaping cup to 2 cups of cooled, pre-cooked filling on hand.
2.
Prepare pie crust dough. Working on a lightly floured work surface, roll out thawed or
refrigerated pie dough to slightly thinner than 1/8-inch. Dust dough with flour to prevent
sticking to the dough cutter and dough press.
3.
Pull the handle latch lock up to unlock. Then lift the lid to the open position.
4.
Before baking the first pies of the day, condition the pie crust molds. Pour a teaspoon
of vegetable oil into each of the 4 bottom pie crust molds. Spread with an absorbent
kitchen towel and wipe off any excess oil. Use a clean kitchen or paper towel to apply
a generous coat of oil to each of the 4 top pie crust molds.
5.
Close the lid. Fold the handle latch over the handle. An audible click can be heard as the
latch locks the Pie Maker closed. Plug unit into a 120V AC electrical outlet to preheat.
The red POWER ON light will illuminate.
NOTE: When your Pie Maker is heated for the first time, it may emit slight smoke or odor.
This is normal and should disappear after 1 or 2 uses. This does not affect the safety
of the appliance.
6.
Nest the dough press inside the dough cutter (See Figure 2.) Using the larger end, use
both palms to firmly press the cutter's blade into the dough to cut 4 bottom pie crusts.
For 2-crust pies, use the smaller end to cut 4 top pie crusts (See Figure 3.)
CAUTION: Dough cutter blades can be sharp. It is recommended that you nest
the dough press inside the dough cutter to assist in cutting and avoid injury.
NOTE: To avoid tearing the dough, do not twist the dough cutter. Apply uniform pressure
to the center when cutting.
NOTE: If needed, dust dough, dough cutter blade and dough press with flour to avoid
sticking.
