BEFOrE uSINg FOr ThE FIrST TImE

1.­ Carefully­unpack­the­Chafing­Dish­and­remove­all­packaging­and­materials.­­
Remove­any­labels­from­the­stainless­steel­surface.
2.­ Set­the­Chafing­Dish­base­on­a­dry,­clean­and­flat­surface.
3.­ Place­the­Chafing­Dish­into­the­base;­then­add­2­cups­water­to­the­Chafing­Dish.­­
Add­the­lid.
4.­ Plug­the­cord­into­a­120­V­AC­electrical­outlet.
5.­ Turn­the­temperature­control­dial­to­HIGH.­Allow­the­Chafing­Dish­to­heat­for­10­minutes.
­ NOTE:­When­the­Chafing­Dish­is­heated­for­the­first­time,­it­may­emit­slight­smoke­
or­odor.­This­is­normal­and­should­disappear.­This­will­not­affect­the­safety­­
of­the­appliance.
6.­ Using­a­protective­oven­mitt­or­potholder,­grasp­the­lid­and­set­aside.­Discard­the­water.­
Rinse­and­dry,­add­lid­and­store­until­ready­for­use.
