Set Password

For security reasons, the router has its own user name and password, and will automatically
disconnect if it has not been used in a while.
Verizon recommends that you change your router password to a more secure password. The
ideal password should follow these standards:
Contain no dictionary words from any language
Be a mixture of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
Your password can be up to 30 characters.

Change the Default Password

Note:
If you changed the password and do not remember what it is, reset
the router to its factory default settings. See
Configuration and Password
To change the default password:
1.
Sign in to the web user interface.
2.
From the main menu, select Router Settings > Router > Router Admin Password.
3.
Enter the Current Admin Password.
4.
Enter the New Admin Password.
5.
Enter the New Admin Password again.
6.
Click Apply.
Note:
Once the password has been changed, you will need to sign in again
to make any other changes. If you have backed up the router settings
previously, start a new backup to save the new password.
