5.
Examine before and after installation and before use for cracks, breaks, nicks,
or fractures. If any exist, do not use; the Cutting Wheel could shatter, causing
serious injury and/or property damage. Discard if dropped, struck with hard
surface, or exposed to moisture.
6.
Straight cut only; never bend the Cutting Wheel. Do not grind on side of the
Cutting Wheel.
7.
Always use Cutting Wheels with a 14" diameter, 1" Spindle, and rated at a
minimum of 3,900 RPM. Cutting Wheels that do not match the mounting
hardware of the Saw or that are rated at less than the Saw's maximum RPM may
fly off the Saw or may run poorly, causing loss of control.
8.
For metal cutting use only. Do not use to cut wood, masonry, magnesium, plastic
or any other non-ferrous material. Never mount any Cutting Wheel not intended
for metal cutting.
9.
Do not stand in line of Cutting Wheel when machine is started.
10.
Run Cutting Wheel at full speed for one minute before use. After turning off the
Saw, allow the Cutting Wheel to spin down and stop on its own.
11.
The Cutting Wheel and stock will become hot while cutting. Do not touch Cutting
Wheel or stock immediately after cutting. Allow both to air cool before handling.
12.
Do not exceed the maximum 4" cutting capacity.
13.
Check Swing Guard for proper closing before each use. Do not operate the Saw
if the Swing Guard does not move freely and close instantly. Never clamp or tie
the Swing Guard into the open position.
14.
Do not leave the tool unattended when it is plugged into an electrical outlet. Turn
off the tool, and unplug it from its electrical outlet before leaving.
15.
Use the built-in clamp or other practical ways to secure and support the
workpiece to a stable platform. Holding the work by hand or against your body is
unstable and may lead to loss of control.
16.
This product is not a toy. Keep it out of reach of children.
17.
People with pacemakers should consult their physician(s) before use.
Electromagnetic fields in close proximity to heart pacemaker could cause
pacemaker interference or pacemaker failure. In addition, people with
pacemakers should:
• Avoid operating alone.
• Do not use with power switch locked on.
• Properly maintain and inspect to avoid electrical shock.
• Any power cord must be properly grounded. Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter
(GFCI) should also be implemented – it prevents sustained electrical shock.
