(26) Automatic adjustment of the auto-toner
sensor
1. When the power switch is turned on, the
auto-toner sensor is automatically ad-
justed by the following procedure.
2. "UA" is shown on the message display.
The automatic adjustment of the auto-
toner sensor starts.
3. The machine starts its operation. The
value on the message display changes.
4. About 2 to 3 minutes later, the value on
the message display stabilizes at
235~245.
5. The automatic adjustment of the auto-
toner sensor is complete and "Install
new cartridge" is shown on the message
display.
. If the adjustment has finished abnor-
mally, the machine stops its operation
and displays the CALL SERVICE.
Then, for the subsequent adjustment
of the auto-toner sensor, follow the
procedure described in the Service
Manual.
