Chapter 1: Overview ports. SFP Port The AT-FS708/POE switch has one SFP port that can accommodate an optional Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) transceiver. The SFP transceiver is a fast and easy way for you to add an 1000 Mbps fiber optic uplink port to your Fast Ethernet switch. You can use the SFP to extend the distance of your network, build a high-speed backbone network between switches, or connect additional end nodes to the network, such as high-speed servers. -

Chapter 1: Overview Power Supply The AT-FS708/POE Fast Ethernet switch has an internal power supply with a single AC power supply socket on the back panel which features autoswitch AC inputs. To power the switch on or off, connect or disconnect the power cord provided with the switch. -
