T0 RDS BROADCASTS

RDS (Radio Data Syslem) is a method for sending information signals together with the transmitter signals. Your
tuner is capable of translating these signals and putting lhe information on the display. These codes contain the
following informations .Program service name(Ps), A list of Program Types(PTY), Tratfic Announcement(TA),
Clock Time(CT), Radio Text(RT).
. The tuner automatically searches for statrons
broadcasting the traffic program.
. "NO TRAFFIC" is displayed if the signal is too weak
or there are no stations broadcasting the rraffic
program.
. When'TP SEARCH" is nor displayed repeat again
from the above step l.
. Use this function to automatically search and
receive the stations offerine RDS services.
. Each time rhis bunon is pressed, the search mode
changes as follows;

SEARCH-TP SEARCH-PTY SEARCH--OFF-1

In the FM mode, select the RDS search mode.

. Use this funcrion to automatically search and reccive
the stations broadcasting the desired program type.
In the FM mode. select the PTY search mooe.
. "PfY SEARCH" is disDlaved.
. The tuner automatically searches stations offering
RDS services and lhe station name is displayed.
. If the station found is not the desired one, press the
TUNIG - or + again while the RDS indicator is
flickering.
. If no other RDS station is found, "NO RDS" is
displayed.
. When "RDS SEARCH" is not displayed, repeat
again ftom the above step L
While displaying "PIY

INFORMATION, SPORT, EDUCATION,

MUSIC, SERIOUS MUSIC, OTHER MUSIC,
ALARM, UNDEFINED)
. When "PTY SEARCH" is nol displayed, repeat
again from the above step l.
