Speaker placement
To obtain the best suround sound effect in you! home, place the
speakeN as follows;
. Front speakers : Place each ftont speaker about lm (,1O") from the
TV set.
. Celrter speaker : Place the center speaker either above or below the
TV set to assure good visualization of center
channel program.
. Rear speakers : Place the rcar speakers approximately lm above the
ear level of a seated listener on the direct left and
rigbt of them or slightly behind.
. Subwoofer : Regoduc€s powerful deep bass sounds. Place a
powered subwoofer anywhere in the front as desired.
. The ideal suround system needs all the speakeN listed above.
However, if you don't have a center speaker, a subwoofer or rear
speakers, select the best possible suround mode with the available
speakers.
Note: To avoid interference $,ith the TV picMe, use only magnetically
shielded cent€r and liont speake$.

Ploase rsfsr to your squalizer operating instructions for guidance on switching otf (or defeating) the equalizer.

. Each time the SURROUND MODE button is pressed
the surround mode changes as follows,
. The Dolby DIGITAI,(AC-3) mode is available for the
input sources such as DVD, LDP and ADOTV only.
. To enjoy the Dolby DIGIIAI,(AC-3), be sure thai the
program source to be played back is the Dolby
DIGITAL(AC-3) progam source and the conespordirg
digital input is selected. Ifnot, no sound will be heard.
. When LDP is selected, RF can be a.lso selected among
the digita.l inputs in the Dolby DIGITAI.(AC-3) mode
only.(Refer to "When CD, DVD, LDP or AU)CTV is
selected as input source" on page I I .)
