present a risk of electric shock.
c) When working outdoors with an electric tool
check to ensure that the tool is connected to the
electric supply by way of a ground fault circuit
interrupter (GFCI) with a rating of max. 30 mA
(tripping current). Use of a ground fault circuit
interrupter reduces the risk of electric shock.
d) Use of a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI)
with a maximum tripping current of 30 mA is
recommended.
5.2.4 Work area safety
a) Ensure that the workplace is well lit.

6.1 Use of extension cords and generators or
transformers

7 Operation

7.1 Preparation
7.1.1 Adjusting the depth gauge 2
NOTE
By adjusting the depth gauge, the screw can be driven
flush with the surface or left projecting. Adjustment is
± 0.25 mm (0.01") per click stop (see illustration).
7.1.1.1 To drive the screw deeper
Turn the depth gauge to the right.
7.1.1.2 To drive the screw less deeply
Turn the depth gauge to the left.

Disconnect the supply cord plug from the power
outlet.

Pull the depth gauge forward, away from the power
tool.
b) Ensure that the workplace is well ventilated. Ex-
posure to dust at a poorly ventilated workplace may
result in damage to the health.
5.2.5 Personal protective equipment
The user and any other persons in the vicinity must
wear ANSI Z87.1-approved eye protection, a hard
hat, ear protection, protective gloves and breathing
protection while the machine is in use.
7.1.3 Changing insert tools
NOTE
The chuck features a standard (DIN 3126/ISO 1173) 1/4"
hex. socket drive for insert tools (bit holder, bits, etc.).
CAUTION
Wear protective gloves when changing insert tools as
the insert tools get hot during use.
The screwdriving bits are retained by a spring mecha-
nism.
7.1.3.1 Changing bits

Disconnect the supply cord plug from the power
outlet.
2.
Pull the depth gauge away from the power tool,
releasing the click connection.
3.
Pull the bit away from the power tool.
4.
Fit the new bit.
5.
Refit the depth gauge to the power tool.
