VFS & DBX Series Vent Free Fireplaces
Do not operate the unit without the screen
frame panel and canopy installed.
REMOVE SCREEN
1. Remove bottom louver. Figure 16
2. Removing fireplace screen frame panel by pushing
screen frame panel up and out. Figure 16
NOTE: Fireplace screen must be removed to access log
box and to install canopy.
INSTALL CANOPY
1. Push louvers up and out to remove top louver assem-
bly.
. Align the black canopy with the holes in the top frame
assembly. Figure 17
3. Install the three (3) screws (in owner's manual packag-
ing) which attach the canopy to the top frame assembly.

4. Tighten all screws. Make sure the canopy is level and
secure. Install top louver assembly.
