I/O Ports

Port
Definition
Serial Ports 1
These are high speed serial ports which use the First-In-First-
and 2
Out (FIFO) protocol. If you have a serial mouse, connect it to
Serial Port 1 (COM1). Other serial devices such as serial
printers or modems can also be connected these ports.
Parallel Port
Parallel devices such as parallel printers and scanners can be
connected to this port.
Mouse Port
This port supports any mouse with a minature circular DIN
(mini-DIN) connector.
Keyboard Port This port supports any keyboard with a minature circular DIN
(mini-DIN) connector.
Video Port
Connects your monitor to the video interface card.
Dual USB
Provide connection points for USB-compliant peripheral
Ports
devices, such as modems, keyboards, joysticks, etc.
Ethernet Port
Allows the system to be connected to a network with 10Base
(optional)
T cable.

Power Supplies (2)

The system is equipped with two 400-Watt (AC or DC) redundant power
supply modules.

Voltage Selector Switches (2 - AC Only)

Located on the back of each power supply module, these switches must be
set to the proper AC line voltage used in your locality (115VAC or
230VAC).

Power-In Connectors (2)

These are connectors into the power supplies which provide the electrical
current to the system and its peripherals. Using the power cables supplied
with the system, connect each of the power supplies to an appropriate power
source.
Note:
If your mouse has a mini-
DIN connector, you must
connect it to the Mouse
Port.
