Scanner operation problems

Problems you may have while using the scanner often involve the
operation of your software and computer. Operation problems
usually occur because of:
Incorrect setup of the interface
(See "Setting Up the Scanner" on page 2-1 of the online Setup
Guide.)
Incorrect setup of your computer or software
(See the online Setup Guide.)
Incorrect operation of your software
(See "Understanding EPSON TWAIN Pro Features" on page
2-1 and "Optimizing Scanning" on page 1-1 in this guide. Also
see Chapter 4 of the online Setup Guide, "Using Your Scanner"
on page 4-1.)
Also see the documentation that came with your computer and
printer for possible solutions.
The READY light does not come on.
Press the
Make sure the power cord is connected to the scanner and is
plugged into a power outlet.
The scanner does not scan.
Wait until the READY light stops flashing and remains on
(ready for scanning).
Make sure your interface port and software settings are
correct. Also make sure that your computer's interface board
is installed properly.
