240V Interconnectable Main Operated Alarm
Thank you for purchasing Quell 240V hard-wired photoelectric
smoke alarm. Please read through our guide in full.
Chubb Fire & Security Pty Limited recommends for maximum
protection that both ionisation and photo-electric (optical) smoke
alarms be installed. Ionisation sensing alarms may detect
invisible fire particles (associated with fast flaming fires) sooner
than photoelectric alarms. Photoelectric sensing alarms may
detect visible fire particles (associated with slow smouldering
fires) sooner than ionisation alarms. Home fires develop in
different ways and are often unpredictable.
Electrical rating 240V AC,
50Hz 80mA max per alarm
(maximum 80mA for originating unit
with 24 Devices interconnected).

For the Quell Q1300, the switch wire is the interconnect line, which should be the black wire in 3-core and earth cabling. The neutral wire is part of the standard power wiring and must not be crossed with the line or interconnect connections, as this can damage the alarms.
