3.
Select the Hose Adapter (parts #1A, #1B, or #1C) that coincides with the inside
diameter of the Discharge Hose (not included) you will use. (See Figure A.)
4.
Unscrew and remove the Screw Sleeve (part #3) from the Pump. Place the
Rubber Washer (part #2) on the previously selected Hose Adapter
(part #1A, #1B, or #1C). (See Figure A.)
5.
Screw the Screw Sleeve (part #3), with its Hose Adapter (part #1A, #1B, or #1C)
and Rubber Washer (part #2), firmly back onto the Pump. (See Figure A.)
6.
Insert one end of the Discharge Hose firmly onto the Hose Adapter (part #1A,
#1B, or #1C). Then, route the other end of the Discharge Hose to the desired
drainage area. (See Figure A.)
7.
Lower the Pump in the water on a solid, level surface. Do not lower the Pump by
means of the Power Cord/Plug (part #43) or Discharge Hose. Do not place the
Pump directly on clay earth or sand sufaces. A minimum of two inches of water
is recommended to properly prime the Pump.
8.
IMPORTANT! Do not run the Pump unless it is submerged in water. Doing
so will damage the Pump.
9.
Route the Power Cord/Plug (part #43) to its electrical outlet safely to avoid trip-
ping over the Power Cord or damage to the Power Cord/Plug. Do not allow the
Power Cord/Plug to become wet. Always place the Power Cord/Plug in a dry
location and as far away as possible from the draining and drainage areas.
10.
Plug the Power Cord/Plug (part #43) into its electrical outlet. The Pump will then
begin to operate.
NOTE: If during operation the water stops flowing from the Discharge Hose,
11.
unplug the Pump immediately to avoid damage to the Pump. This indicates the
water level is probably too low, causing the Pump to lose its suction seal.
12.
Once the pumping process is completed, unplug the Power Cord/Plug (part #43)
from its electrical outlet. Remove the Pump from the draining area, and store the
Pump in a clean, dry location.
