    INTENDED USE: The ATD-10531 rotary tool has been designed with the hobbyist in mind and is ideal for intricate work or creative projects. A variety of applications including engraving, grinding, cleaning, polishing, sanding, cutting, carving and drilling can be performed with the ATD-10531 rotary tool. Its flexible drill shaft is ergonomic and allows greater control over the tool.

  • Page 6 WARNING! Before connecting a tool to a power supply, be sure that the voltage supply is the same as that specified on the nameplate of the tool, with the ATD-10531 it is 120VAC. A power supply with a voltage greater than that specified for the tool can result in serious injury to the user, as well as damage to the tool.
  • Page 7 ATTACHING A SANDING DRUM Loosen the small screw in the top of the sanding drum holder. This allows the rubber to slacken. Slide the sanding drum onto the holder. Secure the sanding drum in place by tightening the screw causing the rubber drum to bulge and grip the drum.
  • Page 8 LED LIGHT ATTACHMENT INSTALLATION: 1. Insert the base of the LED light attachment into the slot on the top of the tool body. 2. The base of the LED light attachment also has a magnet. It can be attached on any metal workpiece during operation.
  • Page 9 TOOL DEPTH GUIDE USE: The rotary tool depth guide can be used for making uniform holes, bevels and edges in your work. Remove the Shaft Collar (3) as shown in fig.1. Insert collet and tool bit and tighten as you would normally as shown in fig.1. Screw depth guide onto rotary tool where the shaft collar used to be, hand tighten and be sure that it is secure but do not over tighten.
  • Page 10 REPAIRS: 1. Only an authorized Electrician or service technician should replace the cord set or make other repairs. If the cord set is damaged or worn, have it repaired or replaced by an authorized Electrician or service technician. 2. When the brushes are worn, the tool will not work. The brushes will need to be replaced. Carbon brushes When the carbon brushes (PRT10531-09) wear out the tool will spark and/or stop.
