2-3. Single UPS Installation

Installation and wiring must comply with local electricity laws/regulations and the following instructions must
be performed by professional personnel.
1) Make sure the mains wire and breakers in the building are compatible for the rated capacity of the UPS
so as to avoid any risk of electric shock or fire.
NOTE: Do not use the wall receptacle as the input power source for the UPS, as its rated current is less
than the UPS's maximum input current. Otherwise the receptacle may be burned and destroyed.
2) Turn off the mains switch in the building before installation.
3) Turn off all the connected devices before connecting to the UPS.
4) Prepare wires based on the following table:
Model
E4 LCD 5K / 6K
E4 LCD 5K S / 6K S
E4 LCD 10K
E4 LCD 10K S
NOTE 1: The cable for 5000 (S) & 6000 (S) should be able to withstand a current of over 40A. Using 6
mm² or 10AWG-thick wires is recommended for safety and efficiency.
NOTE 2: The cable for 10K (S) should be able to withstand a current of over 63A. Using 10 mm² or
8AWG-thick wires is recommended for safety and efficiency.
NOTE 3: Wire color should be selected in accordance with local electricity laws and regulations.
5) Remove the terminal block cover from the rear panel of the UPS. Then connect the wires according to
the following terminal block diagrams: (Connect the ground wire first when connecting the wires.
Disconnect the ground wire last when disconnecting wires!)
