This document explains installation of the SpectraLink Link Wireless Telephone System (Link WTS, MCS300) Remote T1 Module. The installation process connects the Link 3000 MCU Primary Shelf in one location with an Expansion Shelf in a remote location, via T1 facilities.

T1 circuits are used to provide the connection from the System Controller shelf to each Remote Expansion shelf.

T1 circuits must be 64Kbps (not 56Kbps) per channel. Line coding for the T1 circuits must be Bipolar 8-bit Zero Substitution (B8ZS). T1 circuits should be terminated as close to the Link 3000 MCU shelves as possible, at both the System Controller site and the Expansion Controller site(s).
