Lubricating your SD60-M's Pullmor

Y
our SD60-M will require occasional
lubrication of its Pullmor
armatures. If you hear excess noise dur-
ing operation, or if the locomotive slows
down intermittently, you may need to
oil the top armature bearing.
Start by removing only those screws
with brackets and the two cab screws at
the arrow locations in the illustration
below. The cab can now be seperated
from the frame, taking care not to pull
on the connecting wires. Next, carefully
remove the set screw from the top of the
motor brush plate using a .050" Allen
wrench. Apply a small amount of Lionel
oil (two drops) in the set screw hole.
After removing the .050" set screw, place a small amount of Lionel oil (two drops
maximum) in the set screw hole. Reinstall the set screw tightly, then back off one-half turn.
