Controller

The magicolor 2400W uses the power of the
Windows operating system to deliver great
performance for less cost.
The magicolor 2400W features a USB
1.1/2.0 (High-Speed) compliant interface
integrated into the controller.

Type

The magicolor 2400W uses an easy-to-access controller with 32 MB
SDRAM on board.

Processor

The magicolor 2400W supports the Graphical Display Interface (GDI)
for Windows and uses the power of the host computer's Pentium-class
CPU for processing documents prior to printing. The printer's controller
features a Naltec N4-Chip ASIC for imaging the document.

Connectivity

A USB 1.1/2.0 (High-Speed) compliant interface is integrated into the
magicolor 2400W's controller. It provides a 4-pin Series B connector
and runs at 480 Mbps. This "Plug and Play" interface supports Windows
XP, 2000, Me, and 98SE operating systems.
In addition, an optional SEH IC103-USBPOCKET Print Server external
wireless adapter allows you to connect the printer to a 10/100BaseTX
Ethernet network via the USB port.

Printer Memory

The magicolor 2400W includes 32 MB of RAM on the controller.
This memory is sufficient for printing all supported page sizes at all
supported resolutions. There is no need to install additional memory in
the printer. However, increasing the memory of the host computer may
improve transmission speed and overall printer performance.
