HESD (Honda Electronic
Steering Damper)
This motorcycle is equipped with the
electronically-controlled steering damper.
The HESD ( ) automatically controls the 1
steering damper characteristics in
accordance with the vehicle speed and the
acceleration.
The HESD indicator ( ) lights when there
is any abnormality in the HESD. The
HESD indicator should also light for a
few seconds and then go off when the
ignition switch is turned ON and engine
stop switch is at RUN.

If the HESD indicator lights at any other
time, reduce speed and take your
motorcycle to a Honda dealer as soon as
possible.
