    Viewing the Display Screen This list identifies the symbols you’ll see on your display screen. indicates your current signal strength. The more lines you have, the stronger your signal. indicates your phone cannot find a signal. indicates the call is on hold. indicates a call is in progress.

    Turning Your Phone On and Off Turning Your Phone On Press Once your phone is on, it displays “Looking for service...” which indicates that your phone is searching for a signal. When your phone finds a signal, it automatically enters standby mode.

    Using the Battery Installing the Battery 1. Insert the battery into the opening on the back of the phone, making sure the connectors align. Gently press down to secure the battery. 2. Replace the battery cover into position (see below), and slide it upward until you hear a click.
  • Page 14 Charging Your Battery Your phone comes with a rechargeable battery. You should charge the battery as soon as possible so you can begin using your phone. Keeping track of your battery’s charge is important. If your battery level becomes too low, your phone automatically turns off and you will lose all the information you were just working on.

    Using the Holster Attaching the phone to the holster 1. With the front of the phone facing the holster, insert the bottom of the phone into the holster. 2. Press the phone down into the holster until it snaps into place.

    Navigating Through the Menus The navigation key on your phone allows you to scroll through menus quickly and easily. To navigate through a menu, simply press the navigation key up or down. If you are in a first-level menu such as Settings, you may also navigate to the next or previous first-level menu by pressing the navigation key right or left.

    Answering Calls To answer an incoming call with the phone open: 1. Make sure your phone is on. (If your phone is off, incoming calls go to voicemail [optional service].) 2. Press to answer an incoming call. (Depending on your settings, you may also answer incoming calls by pressing any number key.

    Missed Call Notification When an incoming call is not answered, the missed call log is displayed on your screen. To display the missed call entry from the notification screen: Select the entry and press . (Select an option to continue.) Tip: If you have two or more notifications, the Missed Alerts list will appear.

From the Recent History, you can view the date and time of the call, the phone number (if available), the entry name (if the number is already in your Contacts), and the duration of the call.
